Roundarch Isobar
Chicago, IL
Dec 2007 - Apr 2013
Associate User Experience Director
At Roundarch, I led small teams of information architects and visual designers to design applications for web, mobile, and desktop for fortune 500 companies.
My work typically consisted of doing user research, including user interviews, persona and scenario development, mental models and conceptual designs, maybe a prototype to illicit feedback from business owners and end users alike. After a conceptual model has been agreed upon, we would move to detailed wireframes, with visual design often being developed concurrently. Our teams work in an iterative fashion in agile sprints. In addition, I mentor junior designers both in and outside the context of client work and help the recruiting staff evaluate user experience candidates.
